The Rex Cinema is one of the oldest purpose built cinemas in the UK, recently refitted with new seats throughout. We show family shows every Saturday and Sunday afternoon (and on most weekdays during school holidays. Matinees for adults are on Wenesday afternoons, September to April. Thursday morning screenings take place throughout the year; price £3.50 for everyone (includes tea and biscuits). Organ concerts on our Conn 651 theatre organ are held on the third Sunday of every month with a different visiting organist each time; price £4.10 for everyone.
There is ample free parking nearby and disabled access. We also have a traditional organist and recitals.
The Rex has also been fitted with Pullman seats throughout and Dolby stereo surround sound.
